In case anyone was wondering we were able to see the Packers defeat the Steelers in the Super Bowl! We got up early and headed to the National Sports Grill in Greenbelt mall this morning at 7am for the 7:30am kickoff. The bar was packed already when we got there at 7:10 and there were no seats. Luckily, we met some fellow Packer fans the day before at our hotel and they saved us some seats. We had a great time cheering the Packers to a Super Bowl Championship. After the Packers won, people were asking to take pictures with us three because we were authentic Packers fans. Most of the crowd was other ex-pats with some Steeler and Packer fans. Mostly it was people from the US just wanting to watch the Super Bowl. Liam's first Super Bowl was very noisy. Since the restaurant was so small and crowded every time the Packers did something well there would be screams and same with the Steelers. These high decibels made Liam cry a few times, but all in all he was his cheery old self. And Daddy suspects a bit of a lucky charm since this is Liam's first Super Bowl as a Packers fan and they won! Anyway, here are some pictures of the morning and then at the bottom a couple of pictures of Liam's first birthday party.
